Wow! what a week. I am absolutely exhausted!! In a good way of course! 🙂 Unfortunately the internet in the deep dark depths of the Island was very bad and kept crashing!
We did everything and I mean everything!!! Aqua Fun, Zip Wire, Challenge Course, Trapeze, Sensory Trail, Orienteering, Tunnel Trail, Giant Swing, Cat Walk, Archery, Canoe, Kayak and Aeroball.
I took part with the kids as much as I could and I have to say my favourite was the Canoeing and Kayak as I got my own back 🙂 yep at every opportunity I splashed them 🙂 and had a water fight which ended up in me getting wetter than them!!
My least favourite was the Giant Swing, which is strange as that appears to be the kid’s favourite?? Lets just say I think I had the loudest scream which they thought was hilarious! Mrs Summers actually heard me from the other side of the centre!!
Charlie Corcoran, Joshua Paddock, Daniel Cavaney, Erin Randall and Lilly Duell conquered the Trapeze and believe me it was not easy, I managed to touch the top but not stand on the small area of wood and then leap into the air hoping to reach the trapeze!! Ellie Wheeler, Erin Kraft, Hayden Worsley, Jacob Wratten and Courtney Douglas like me managed to touch the top – believe me I was so impressed as it was very high! Especially as all of them were dreading it – a huge achievement 🙂
All of my group were very apprehensive about the canoeing and kayaking but after only half an hour in the water they were all bobbing along with no problem at all (well apart from me trying to splash them!) 🙂
The Giant Swing was hilarious and I will never forget the look on Courtney and Lilly’s faces as they swung through the air! Mind you they won’t forget the look on my face!! Sheer horror! :-0
I must apologise to Hayden whilst doing the tunnel trail, dark tunnels with sandy wet floors on all fours crawling!! Hayden, I’m sorry I clung to you and your trainer! Screaming “Haydn don’t leave me its dark and I cannot see where I am going?!?!” (“Get me out of Here” came to mind!) :-0
Again the Cat Walk was terrifying and again the kid’s were amazing and although a few did not make the top they all conquered the fear factor- even me! And boy was the top one high (I have since found out that Mrs Lawrie and Mrs Taylor were unable to do the top one 🙂 hehe)
Right time to post some pictures before I fall asleep!! Thank you to my group who were brilliant and tried everything, we did have a few grumpy moments when tired or hungry but to be expected (and that was just me!)
So here are a few photos of my amazing week with some fab children.
Mrs “J” xxxx
p.s thanks guys I leave my camera with you whilst conquering my fear and I see you have managed to take a few “selfies” 🙂 xx

Wow! Little Canada is lovely. Survived my first night! 🙂 All the children have been enjoying different activities since we arrived along with their team leaders. Problem solving for me and my group this morning which was very challenging at times but we conquered it (well almost!) lol
The weather is absolutely gorgeous which was fab for Bethany as she celebrates her birthday today and waking at 5.30am was a bit of a shock to the system!! My team are in the swimming pool now so have a little time to report on blog although having problems with the downloading of pictures so will attempt later!
Everyone is happy and food is great not one child has had an empty plate as so much choice so no need to worry mums and dads they are eating 🙂 me too!!
Right off to collect my group from the pool and then for lunch 🙂 yum – Mrs J (Jane)

Today in maths we had thee jugs the first jug could hold 3L of water and it was full. The second jug could hold 5L of water and that was full and the third jug was big it can hold lots of water can you measure 4L? .it is hard you can only tip the 3 or the 5 you can tip away so if you like maths try that.

Something Different
Sometimes we do something different. I really liked learning why we have Harvest assembly.
Harvest assembly is a special time when we sing songs and donate
food to local food banks. We had people from St Andrews church to tell us why we have harvest. They tell us about all the good things we have and what other people don’t have. Because we have nice things and other people don’t we give them some of our things to make it better for them.h. We also send shoe boxes to people to aren’t very fortunate. It is good to know you are helping other people and that maybe if you need it they will help you.
