oh no!

I got a pet one day, the troublesome type. I brang it home and sat it down in my sisters old high chair, she walked in and stood as still as a statue “why is there a MONKEY in my old high chair?” she exclaimed whilst making a cup of tea. “cause…I found it?”. she raised an eyebrow. later that day, my monkey was sitting by my BRAND NEW laptop when it looked at it, crept forwards , then boom my brand new laptop was destroyed. 🙁 THE END (or is it?)……….

Crikey, that really is an old high chair, George, if your sister is now old enough to make a cup of tea! I think popping a monkey in it sounds like putting it to good use. I hope it has good straps to keep that troublesome monkey in one place for a little while at least!

Hi George this is William and I have read all your blogs. I like the tiger one best but this one is still really really good. I don’t think it’s a good idea to have a pet monkey. I hope you are going to do lots of blogs next year.

    Hello George,

You have a lovely subtle writing style, cleverly using phrases, such, ‘the troublesome kind’, to give us clear hints about what might happen.
Your tales always have good changes of pace and in this case end on a cliff hanger.
I look forward to reading your next blog or maybe a continuation of this tale.

    Hello George,
I settled down after school with a cup of tea and a biscuit (or perhaps two) to read your blog and had to check the seat next to me to make sure a Monkey hadn’t sneaked into the room! Your opening sentence was, as usual, a fantastic hook and you used interesting vocabulary and punctuation. My favourite bit is when your sister raised her eyebrow so we can tell she was dubious about your explanation of why the monkey was there. Don’t forget that the past tense of bring is brought. I wonder what you did about your troublesome pet?
